This page contains notable design artifacts from the course CSCI8266/ACMP4260 at University of Nebraska Omaha. Other design artifacts and coursework can be found here.

Chapter 10-11 Applied UX Design Activity: Canvas Livestream Boigers

This contains the live version of the UXD Artifact for the A Project Guide to UX Design: For User Experience Designers in the Field or in the Making (2023) Chapter 10-11 activity. The artifact intends to capture the following user story:

"First-year university students in STEM fields at the Hinkus Dinkus University experience lower engagement and higher dropout rates in online courses due to a lack of interactive learning tools and peer collaboration opportunities. The goal is to design a digital learning platform that improves engagement by integrating real-time collaboration and gamified learning experiences."

The problem statement is intended to capture the Canvas online experience for a student.

Chapter 12-13 Applied UX Design Activity: Happy Burgers Boigers

This contains the live version of the UXD Artifact for the A Project Guide to UX Design: For User Experience Designers in the Field or in the Making (2023) Chapter 12-13 activity. The artifact intends to capture the following user story: "As a customer, I want to order and customize a hamburger that I can pick up or have delivered to me."

Space Jam Redesign Jam

This contains the live version of the UXD Artifact for the "Mapping Methods + Nordcraft/Dreamweaver/VS Code Studio Activity" assignment, where students:

  • Selected a small multipage website (5-10ish page) or simple application that they felt like is not very good
  • Created a site or process map of the selected website or app
  • Examined the site and noted what they felt worked well, did not work well, and could be improved
  • Created a new site or process map, representing how the change should function
  • Glowworm Music Studio GMS

This contains the live version of the UXD Artifact, where our group, Team Glowworm, created an interactive progressive web application (PWA) that transforms keyboard input into playable digital instruments, score‑writing, and multi‑track “band”/song performances for musicians and/or creators who want an intuitive and customizable way to compose and perform music that can be shared with others.
